戈春燕老師1959年出生,1972年開始學習武術,1978年成為北京武術隊成為頂尖的隊員。後來她繼續向中國的許多內家老前輩學習太極拳,形意拳和八卦掌。 

     1984年,她在武打電影《武林志》扮演女主角,把這門武藝帶到了大屏幕。這部以八卦掌為主的電影的流行加速她以主角身份接連參演了更多武打片-這些武打片變成動作電影的經典之作。即使在今天,她也不斷地把她的武藝發揚到大屏幕。在2013年年,為王家衛電影《一代宗師》中的女主角,國際巨星章子怡擔任武術主教練。戈老師在2000年成為新加坡公民.

China Wushu Coach Ge Chun Yan  laoshi

Coach Ge Chun Yan was born in 1959. She started learning martial arts in 1972 and was among the pioneer batch of athletes that formed the Beijing Wushu Team in 1978. Coach Ge subsequently went on to study with many of the top teachers and masters of internal arts in China, and is proficient in Taiji, Xingyi  and Bagua Zhang.

     Coach Ge is best known for her expertise in Bagua Zhang and was National Champion in China five years in a row. In 1984, she brought this expertise to the big screen by playing the female lead in the classic kungfu movie 'Pride's Deadly Fury' The popularity of this film featuring Bagua Zhang led her to take on starring roles in several more Chinese kungfu movies that have become classics of action cinema. Even today, she continues to bring her expertise to the big screen and was requested to be the principal martial coach for Zhang Ziyi in Wong Kar-Wai's film 'The Grandmaster' in 2013. Coach Ge became a citizen of Singapore in early 2000s.
