Dozens Join WHA Bike Ride

The 27th World Hunger Auction Bike Ride was held June 4. The weather was close to perfect, and the bikers were enthusiastic. Over 30 riders raised approximately $2,500 to be combined with the amounts raised through the other activities. While some of the participants are associated with the churches that sponsor the auction, many were from the Franklin Freewheelers bike group in addition to their fellow riders from neighboring areas. The auction steering committee appreciates the work of the organizers, support vehicle drivers, rest stop staffers, and members of the dairy community who provided tee shirts and refreshments.
