26th Annual WHA Bike Ride a Success

The 26th Annual World Hunger Auction Bike Ride was held on June 6. The weather was perfect (after a long week of rain), and the bikers were enthusiastic. A total of 48 riders raised approximately over $6,000 to be combined with the amounts raised through the other activities. While some of the participants are associated with the churches that sponsor the auction, many were from the Franklin Freewheelers bike group in addition to their fellow riders from neighboring areas. The auction steering committee appreciates the work of the organizers, support vehicle drivers, rest stop staffers, and members of the community who provided encouragement and refreshments.
