Auction Numbers Released

On a beautiful Saturday in mid-August, hundreds attended our annual name-sake event, the World Hunger Auction. Hundreds of items were sold and fun, fellowship, food and festivities were enjoyed by all in attendance on August 13. Many thanks to those who donated their time in working the auction activities and the many who donated their talents in creating hand-crafted auction items. Of course, many thanks to our auction bidders as over $30,0000 was raised via the auction activities on Saturday; combining with the proceeds of our other 2016 WHA events to push our annual total program proceeds close to $60,000. The WHA Board will meet in late September to determine actual disbursements with details posted on the website when available. Thanks again to all for a very successful 2016 and your continued blessings for a fruitful season of 2017 activities allowing us to provide our continuing support for those less fortunate in SW VA and around the world.
