Use the 2-age releases analysis of Serin data from Lab 5.
In RMark, formulate at least 10 alternative models. Provide a brief verbal description for the a prior plausibility of each.
One of the models should be a time-only model (so, ignoring age structure)
Compute MLEs under each model and summarize the models in an AIC table
Compute model-averaged estimates of age- and time-specific survival
Repeat the analyses in MARK
Assess goodness of fit of the time-specific (CJS) model (i.e., ignoring age structure in the model) using both the built-in bootstrap in MARK and the user-defined function in RMark (see previous lab). Based on these results, and those of the AIC comparisons, can you safely ignore age structure?
