Program

We plan to make a 5-day workshop with four different Mathematical blocks:

Algebra and Physics (A+P),

Geometry and Physics (G+P),

Topology and Physics (T+P), and

Number Theory and Physics (N+P).

We will organise several teams of 5 to 7 members (out of which 2 should be team leaders) around each block, depending on the amount of participants available and depending on the proposals received from the team leaders. Each team will work together on a particular problem in a specific topic in mathematics and their connection with theoretical physics - proposed by the senior leaders.

Besides many work in groups sessions, we plan to have the following activities during the conference:

- Lectures: team leaders will give an introductory lecture on her team's topic for all the participants in the workshop. This will stimulate interactions between the blocks and beyond.

- Tribute to Mirzakhani: the recent loss of Maryam Mirzakhani, whose work has contributed enormously in several topics in Mathematical Physics, will be tributed during the conference. We will organize a specific session (2h) on the life and general ideas of the works of Prof. Mirzakhani, lectured by several Iranian female mathematicians. We will also ask other participants working on related topics to explain the influence of Mirzakhani's results on their fields.

- Poster session: on the first evening we will organize a poster session where the younger participants will have a chance to present and discuss their work.

- Q+A: several mid-career and senior participants will share their experiences of being female in Mathematical Physics with the younger ones during a Q+A session. We hope this disscussion will allow to share experiences on finding a good life-work balance as a female mathematician.
