I designed this character to resemble Crisis-2 video game character Alcatraz. I decided to test my skills in designing, rigging and animating my character. I started with a simple base mesh, then used modifiers and subdivisions to increase the detail of every object. The head and the helmet were the most challenging objects to design. After I modeled my character I spent a long time applying textures to different parts. The hardest part for me was getting the colors to match, and shifting textures in the materials layer. The armature of my model has numerous IK constraints and inherent rotation modifiers so I could work on a more realistic and fluid motion.I am planning to continue my work on this model. I want to put it into a full featured animation – short action film. I will be designing the environment, various objects, props and other characters for my film.
