Theme Rationale
Everyone must learn the value of saving and investing. Everyone needs to learn to save for
emergencies and long-term goals such as retirement. Statistics show that Americans do not save.
In fact, the most recent statistics indicate that the savings rate in the U.S. is negative. To
improve the situation, students must have knowledge and skills to meet the challenge of paying current expenses and saving for the future.
