There are a number of videos on-line for learning to use Final Cut Pro X to edit video. David A. Cox's PC Classes On-Line YouTube channel has a number of videos for learning Apple computers and software. He does a nice job explaining everything you need to know to get started.
This is one on Final Cut Pro X that I like because it does a nice job covering editing for someone who is new to Final Cut Pro X. You can search for additional videos to learn how to do special effects specific for your video project once you learn these basics.
We will be watching this in class, but I'm posting it here in case you want to review it outside of class.
I am also posting a video from our very own Antoine Groutars. Antoine was the winner of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences
Student Production Award in the PSA category for the Ohio Valley region in 2015.
You may also want to take a look at "School Video News": http://schoolvideonews.com/. This site is an on-line magazine for school production programs ans features how-to stories and
highlights productions created by students. We may try to contribute some materials later in the year.
In addition, you'll find PDF versions of the owners manuals for the Panasonic AG-AC90 professional camcorders that we use in the program at the bottom of this page. I highly recommend reading these when you have time to get familiar with the camera and it's capabilities.
