Speaker Wanted for ESOL Group (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
Shona O'Donnell, ESOL tutor with West Lothian Council is on the hunt for a speaker or two who'd come to her Saturday ESOL group which meets 10-12 at Strathbrock to talk about a Scottish tradition / object / food / history / national poet or ANYTHING.
Of course, props, visuals such as slideshow or photographs and fun are the order of the day!
Could you or someone you know come and talk to the group? Even half an hour of someone's time would be fab - a topic introduced with simple English and some object or two to spark conversation, are all that's required. Our learners so appreciate visitors volunteering their time.
(NB anyone who's got a hobby they're happy speaking about is welcome also - we run til the summer!)
