Meals are a community activity that we usually share together. Every member of the Winter Escape group participates in making one meal and/or cleaning up after one meal. All meals will include a vegan or vegetarian option.
Sample of past meals: Build-Your-Own Burrito and Tortilla Soup, Whole Wheat Pizzas (topped by diners), Burgundy Sauce with Beef and Noodles, Homemade Veggie Minestrone Soup, Fresh Apple Cobbler for dessert.
In addition, various common snacks will be available throughout - like tortilla chips/salsa, pretzels, M&Ms, cookies, etc.
Hard liquor and/or illegal drugs are not allowed at the retreat.
There will be a few spiritual activities at the retreat, which can facilitate and share our experiences together. These will include an attendee-led Sunday morning gathering and opening and closing circles during the retreat, as well as any other attendee-led workshops. We consult a variety of sources of meaning and inspiration during these activities, with all suggestions welcome.
As with all other activities, participation is totally voluntary to those who are interested. If you'd like to explore a specific topic or volunteer to help plan a spiritual or worship activity, contact us at winterescape11@gmail.com.
