FLS should be completed during your second or third year of residency.
Steps to completing FLS certification:
Sign up for an account with Maddie and on the FLS website <https://www.webassessor.com/sages> and schedule your testing date at OSU.
Work through the online didactic content <http://fls-online.org/>
Practice the skills detailed in the FLS Skills Instructions PDF on the laparoscopic trainer until you feel comfortable
Take your written and practical test to obtain your certificate - send a copy of this to Maddie for your file.
FLS Exam Information
The FLS exam consists of two parts:
Written Test (90 minutes)
Manual Skills Test (30 minutes)
Total exam time may take up to 2 hours.

Please bring the following with you on the day of your exam:
Your Test Authorization Code (emailed to you once your appointment is scheduled)
A valid photo ID
