Connor participates in 2013 Louisiana State Geographic Bee

My oldest son, Connor, participated in the 2013 Louisiana State Geographic Bee held in Baton Rouge on Friday, April 5th. He was one of 80 students throughout the state invited to compete in the 25th anniversary of the event, which was sponsored by the National Geographic Society and Louisiana State University. Prior to the state competition, Connor won his school's "geo" bee. We recently learned that Connor is his school's first 6th grader to win the competition. He then completed a national written test and scored well enough to be invited to participate at the state level.
