Whoosh Explore has adventure at its Heart.

established in 2008 with the intention to develop a local paddling community we offer individuals a place to meet, families the skills of learning to paddle together and groups the opportunity for adventures using great boats and equipment.

We started off with a small fleet of Open canoes and easy to paddle Touring Kayaks and as our community of paddlers has grown, we have introduced paddlers to more adventurous trips, boats and equipment.

We have a wide range of equipment for club members to borrow, delivering adventures in paddle sport from touring kayaks tours to specialist White water Canoes and Stand Up Paddleboards sessions for exploring the river.

Micro adventures

A spirit of adventure has always been at the heart of our paddling, we have canoe and kayaks for running expeditions away from the club base and regularly head off to explore new rivers and challenges, expeditions and whitewater.

Paddlesport Training and Qualifications

We offer courses each year a wider choice of paddling courses and sessions including pool sessions and training for club members to gain experience and NGB qualifications in core skills and coaching.

Specialist events

Try out the latest paddling kit and head off on expeditions to white water. Develop skills and qualifications in paddle sport coaching and having fun as a paddling team.

Environment

We are passionate about improving the local paddling environment for all to enjoy, this may be removing fishing line from trees or collecting discarded drinks bottles that occasional find there way into our local paddling water- alas no messages found in any yet!

Trips Abroad

Over the years our trips have become skilled at delivering more adventurous Whitewater trips for families and friends to France, as well as White water paddling sessions in Devon, Wales and Scotland in both Canoes and Kayaks. We run trips to experience different rivers with our trailers full of boats and paddling equipment for regular tours to popular paddling spots.

Paddling is all about having adventures

We have run paddling trips to Central Massiff in France for our kids first French paddling adventure on moving water with paddle trips in open boats and kayaks on the Ardeche, Cheezac and River Orb as well as coastal paddle boarding and beach adventures to discover new paddling venues and we look forward to heading back to the Ardeche soon.

Our autumn sessions often include bush craft training, canoe poling and exploring the lakes and rivers as well as adventure for our coaching team in Wales , where we worked alongside other professional paddle sport coaches.
