Learn to Paddle in a morning with Whoosh Explore
This is a brilliant way to get introduced to canoeing, whether it's your first time, or you are looking to get back into a boat. You don't need any specialist kit or skills. We provide experienced coaches to ensure you get the most out of your day. Paddling sessions take place on Saturdays from 9.30 am on the River Stort.
Starter Sessions
Starter sessions area a brilliant way to get introduced into canoeing.
We have a wide range of canoes and touring kayaks with skegs to help develop your boat control making them easy to paddle.
Our Canoes are suitable for 2 adults or an adult and 2 young or smaller paddlers.
Our Kayaks are ideal for single paddlers.
Paddling sessions take place on the River Stort Navigation on Hertfordshire and Essex boarder, close to London.

Guided Tours
If you have some canoeing experience and are looking for new adventure, why not enjoy one of our guided tour experiences. Find out about the River Stort and its history by boat, we offer a leisurely way to explore the waterways starting at Twyford Lock Pig Lane, Bishops Stortford to Redricks lake in Sawbridgeworth.
Guided tours cost from £45 per session for a Canadian Canoes and £35 per kayak or £17.50 for children upto 16 years old.
Locations
Guided tours on the River Stort are available each weekend over the paddling season.
The paddle will take upto 3.5 hours on the river there are 6 locks to negotiate on route which will need to be carried round.
Group tours
Want to plan a guided tour for your friends, We are able to plan a half day paddle for a group on a Saturday or Sunday, or can organise a days adventure during the week ( Plan your trip well in advance as these days are popular) .
Club Paddling
We also offer club trips to the River Lee, River Cam River Stour and River Chelmer on selected weekends.

Corporate Events
We specialise in organising specialist paddling events tailored to your organisations requirements.

Whoosh Explore is a BCU recognised Canoeing organisation and is regulated by ALAA Licence L9950/R1998 for paddling sessions for schools and young people.
Our Paddle Leaders and Coaching team have over 15 year experience in delivering paddling sessions to young people - including Expedition training, Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions and work with Youth Groups and Team Training.
