Alida Stair (Afterward)

Alida Stair is a woman from Pangbourne and a friend of both Mary and Edward Boyne. She is the one that suggests Lyng as a place to live. She tried to suggest other houses to the Boynes and only mentioned Lyng when they declined all her other offers due to their special taste when it came to housing. She claimed that there were numerous ghosts in Dorsetshire and that one of them is the unnamed ghost of Lyng (Wharton 342).
