2025 WFBL FUTURES RANKINGS
2025 WFBL FUTURES RANKINGS
The WFBL Organizational Futures Ranking for 2025 have been based on an evaluation of the total number and ranking position of your Minors system prospects on the top prospect lists of the following industry expert websites: MLB Pipeline Top 100, Baseball America Top 100, The Athletic Top 100, Fantrax Top 100 Dynasty, Bleacher Report Top 100, and Baseball Prospectus Dynasty Top 100. Players listed below each appeared as individually ranked with at least one of these resources for 2025.
The rankings of your prospects on these lists as to the total number of players, as well as how highly those prospects are ranked by these experts was considered in formulating the final WFBL rankings. Your opportunity to improve with high draft picks over the next couple of years was used in tie-breaker situations. If you have a problem with where your franchise is ranked, you can generally blame these evaluation services - but also may need to review your own moves and your attention to prospects and the Minors Draft. Players who have Minors options and Majors experience were only considered if they were ranked by the previously mentioned sources.
If your club is near the bottom of the rankings, especially if you have been in the lower tiers for a few years, you should take some time to evaluate your Minors system and Minors Draft strategy more carefully. In parentheses next to each team name are the last five years organizational "WFBL Futures" rankings, with 2024 on the far left and through 2020, from left to right.
Following the player listings, you can find each organization's WFBL Minors Draft status. The overall number of picks which each club controls in the 2025-28 Minors Drafts, with the number of first round picks during those years in parentheses.
Jasson Dominguez appears ready to step into the Eugene lineup as the club looks to regain the crown out in the Mack/West Division
The Ems have been a top three Minors organization for years and are now number one for the second time in four. While a few of the organizations right behind them have more highly ranked prospects, the sheer quantity of top 100 prospects pushing towards Eugene over all three Minors levels is unmatched. GM Dave Fackrell's club has won four of the last six Mack/West pennants. They are hoping that a few of these kids can emerge to help finally lift the Ems to that one prize they covet most, one that has eluded them for their first 26 seasons - winning a WFBL Championship.
Max Clark, Jasson Dominguez, Jaisson Chourio, Angel Genoa, Jackson Ferris, Felnin Celesten, Zyhir Hope, Thyron Liranzo, Termarr Johnson, Arjun Nimmala, Eduardo Tait, Tre Morgan, Josue Briceno, Jefferson Rojas, Chase Petty, Zebby Matthews, Eduardo Quintero, Brady House, Emil Morales, Jaden Hamm, Jonah Tong

Japanese phenom Roki Sasaki is expected to step right into a regular rotation role as Philly hopes to move from rebuilding to contending status
The A's rebuilding plan began to bear first fruits in the second half of the 2024 campaign when the club went 6-4 and were competitive nearly every week. GM Matt Veasey has decided that now is the time to bring in a few veterans to help the emerging young talented core and get the franchise back to the business of contending. Despite graduating a handful of premier prospects last year, there is much more still to come from the system with the most top 50 prospects of any in the league.
Roki Sasaki, Walker Jenkins, Andrew Painter, Marcelo Mayer, Aidan Miller, Dalton Rushing, Ethan Salas, Colson Montgomery, Xavier Isaac, Cam Smith, Luke Keaschall, Alex Freeland
2025-28 Minors Draft: 6 (1)

Mega-talented righty Jackson Jobe should front the Vancouver rotation for years to come, and should begin that career in the upcoming campaign
It looked for a while like 2024 was going to be the year that the Cubbies parlayed a consistently high-ranked farm system into a postseason berth. Somehow, it didn't happen, and a seventh straight losing campaign was the result instead. It's hard to believe that streak will continue. Only Eugene has more overall top 100 prospects, only Philly more impact kids, and 2-3 of the current crop should arrive to help GM Josh McGlohn's club finally kick down that door to the playoffs in the coming 2025 season.
Jackson Jobe, Jordan Lawlar, Sebastian Walcott, Kevin McGonigle, Drake Baldwin, Brayden Taylor, Franklin Arias, Carter Jensen, Trey Yesavage, Jacob Misiorowski, Ricky Tiedemann, Demetrio Crisantes, Ronny Mauricio

The second overall pick in last year's WFBL Minors Draft, Travis Bazzana could push for a job in Omaha during this coming 2025 season
GM Aaron McGlohn has a top five prospect group for the second time in the last three years. Things finally appear to be looking up for Omaha's shot at a long period of contention. The Royals have just one winning season and two postseason appearances over the last nine years. Many of this group of top 100 kids could arrive quickly. Will that be 2025? 2026? The next few months will tell that story. But they are coming. Oh...and they also control no fewer than five 1st round picks in this year's Minors Draft.
Travis Bazzana, Leodalis De Vries, Jac Caglianone, Chase Dollander, Rhett Lowder, Nick Kurtz, Braden Montgomery, Justin Crawford, AJ Smith-Shawver, Heston Kjerstad
2025-28 Minors Draft: 20 (8)

Matt Shaw is nearly ready to inject talent and enthusiasm into the Cards everyday lineup - the question at this point appears to be at what position?
The Cards have been fairly successful in recent years. Five of the last six have resulted in winning campaigns with four postseason appearances, including the last two years. GM Tom Burniski has drafted well and the Minors system ranking is now reflecting those astute selections. They hope to get some of these talented youngsters up to the big club quickly as Saint Louis looks for their first pennant in 14 years.
Samuel Basallo, Matt Shaw, Chase Burns, Quinn Mathews, Brandon Sproat, Colby Thomas, Cole Carrigg, Ryan Waldschmidt, Tyler Black, River Ryan
2025-28 Minors Draft: 18 (5)

The Tribe is hoping Bubba Chandler battles his way into their starting rotation in 2025 and proves a long term front-of-rotation type arm
The Tribe have reached the postseason just once in the last half-dozen seasons and finished at the bottom of the Mack/West in each of the last two. GM David McNickle's farm system continues to build the kind of talent needed to dig their way out of that hole. As always, it will be about those talented kids actually developing into impact players at the Majors level that will be needed to get Spokane competitive once again in this increasingly tough division.
Bubba Chandler, Bryce Eldridge, Jeferson Quero, Christian Moore, Moises Ballesteros, Kevin Alcantara, Jonny Farmelo, Ryan Clifford, Emiliano Teodo
2025-28 Minors Draft: 17 (4)

Where will top prospect Kristian Campbell play once he reaches the Majors? That will be a key question for the Spiders to answer in 2025
Over the previous five years this organization had fallen from the very top of these rankings during the 2020 COVID season all the way to the bottom a year ago. GM Rick McCullough undertook an intentional rebuild of a club that had won three consecutive Kalas/Central pennants, causing them to slip to the bottom of the standings as well in 2024. With the most improved prospect pool in the league it might not be too much longer before Cleveland is back contending once again.
Kristian Campbell, Emmanuel Rodriguez, Harry Ford, Cam Collier, Edwin Arroyo,
Orelvis Martinez, Drew Thorpe, Zac Veen, Luis Morales
2025-28 Minors Draft: 5 (1)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the most exciting prospects in the sport, outfielder Dylan Crews is expected to begin a long, productive career in the Majors this year
For a second straight year, GM Perry Sanchez has a prospect group among the top half of the league. The Cajuns have reached postseason just once in the last six years, missing out in two of those despite having a winning campaign. Other than a deep 2023 slide the club has hovered right around the .500 mark over that entire time. The top pick in the 2023 WFBL Minors Draft, Crews should reach the Bayou this year to help bolster the offensive attack.
Dylan Crews, Hagen Smith, Blake Mitchell, Sal Stewart, Adael Amador, Jace Jung,
Enrique Bradfield Jr
2025-28 Minors Draft: 25 (4)

The Pines are hoping that Charlie Condon develops into the face of the franchise as the organization continues to add young, impact talent
GM Joe Clark's system gets ranked in the top half of the league for the first time in a number of years. Dealing for the top pick in last year's Minors Draft was a pivotal move for a franchise looking to inject much needed young talent. Condon now has to prove worthy of that pick in the coming years. Having no picks in the 2025 Minors Draft will be a handicap the Pines will need to overcome with solid attention to detail and a consistent eye on their Minors system evaluations in order to continue this improvement.
Charlie Condon, Josue De Paula, James Triantos, Starlyn Caba, Noble Meyer, Jesus Baez, Seaver King
2025-28 Minors Draft: 13 (3)

Kyle Teel has a chance to be a two-way stud at backstop in Portland, hopefully bringing another impact bat to the Pack lineup sooner than later
Consistent contenders in the early years of the league, the Pack under GM Keno Leighty has reached postseason play just four times over the last 19 seasons and has not won a playoff game since capturing the 2004 WFBL Championship. That is a loooong run of futility in Portland. There is now some depth building in the prospect group. The organization has emphasized young international talent in recent years. There is plenty of it in their system, but likely a few years away from actually helping in the Majors.
Kyle Teel, Chase DeLauter, Cooper Pratt, Jarlin Susana, Ralphy Velazquez, Robert Calaz, Agustin Ramirez, Slade Caldwell, Eric Bitonti
2025-28 Minors Draft: 21 (3)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carson Williams could push to Brantford this year but with Gunnar Henderson entrenched at shortstop where might he play?
The Bisons captured the first Owens/East pennant in their history last season before being edged by top rivals Montreal in the playoff Semis. GM Bob Turner's club has now reached the Semi-Finals in three consecutive Septembers for the first time since the first three years of the franchise existence back at the turn of the century. The prospect group depth is lacking but a few top-level gems are nearly ready to help push the Bisons closer towards their ultimate goal of capturing a WFBL title.
Carson Williams, Jacob Wilson, Kumar Rocker, Jett Williams, Spencer Jones, Adrian Del Castillo
2025-28 Minors Draft: 18 (4)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With pitching always at a premium the Farmers hope that Thomas Harrington emerges as a true long term rotation option
In the 23-year history of the franchise the Farm Boys have reached postseason play just three times. Since capturing the lone pennant in their history back in 2016, 'Bama has returned to the playoffs just once. However, GM Jeff Crisler did watch the team win 13 games two years ago in that playoff campaign and they finished at the .500 mark with another double-digit win total a year ago. The Farmers system continues to flounder in the middle of the rankings and will need to start finding a few gems in order to make a real move.
JJ Wetherholt, Cole Young, Thomas Harrington, Theo Gillen, Deyvison De Los Santos, Nick Yorke
2025-28 Minors Draft: 17 (2)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cade Horton is looking to bounce back from an injury-marred 2024 and finally reach the Majors with New York this summer
GM Clay Haymart put together a Knights club that ended a decade-and-a half of futility, winning the first WFBL Championship in franchise history back in 2022. Since then the club has played basically .500 ball, going a combined 21-21-2 the last two seasons and finished third in the Owens/East each time. Now looking to get younger, New York may need patience. Six picks in the first round of the next two Minors Drafts should add a bunch of impact talent.
Konnor Griffin, Cade Horton, Bryce Rainer, Owen Caissie, Edgar Quero, George Lombard, Joendry Vargas
2025-28 Minors Draft: 21 (8)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tink Hence will try to stay healthy and prove that he can remain a starter as he continues to push his way towards Detroit
The Drillers captured their second WFBL Championship in franchise history last year, their first in a full season. GM Ryan Hreben will also see the club hang a fourth Kalas/Central pennant from the General Motors Place rafters. Even though the prospect ranks are thinning out, a number of returnees in their prime and youngsters who have already debuted should keep the Drillers contending for the forseeable future.
Thomas White, Lazaro Montes, Jesus Made, Tink Hence, Michael Arroyo, Nolan McLean, Gary Gill Hill
2025-28 Minors Draft: 16 (2)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coby Mayo appears ready for a shot at the Majors, but when and at what position will he finally get that opportunity?
GM Chris Mitchell may lack depth in the farm system of the Bulldogs, which has been an issue for a number of years now. But there are a couple of gems who will be ready to help the big club in Boston soon, possibly as soon as this coming season. Last year the club suffered its first losing season in nearly two decades. There appears to be some fraying at the edges of the roster. But there remains enough talent for Boston to get back to contending status this coming season.
Roman Anthony, Coby Mayo, Henry Bolte

The defending Mack/West champs hope to add southpaw Noah Schultz to their rotation mix for the coming campaign
Vegas has become a consistent contender under GM Steve Haws, reaching the postseason in four of the last five seasons and capturing the franchise first WFBL Championship just two years ago. Last year the Rollers won their first-ever Mack/West pennant. The club prospect pool has thinned out in that time, however. Haws now faces the delicate job of refurbishing that system with future impact youngsters while continuing to keep what is a talented big league group primed to contend in an improving wild west.
Noah Schultz, Alejandro Rosario, Richard Fitts, Cooper Ingle
2025-28 Minors Draft: 17 (4)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Chargers should see Caden Dana take on a regular rotation role in 2025 as they look to contend over a full season this time
The Bolts have bolted out to hot starts in each of the last two campaigns only to falter over the second half and finish with nine victories and in fifth place each year. GM Patrick Gordon continues to search for the right combination that will work over a full season. In 26 years, the franchise has reached postseason play just five times, only two over the last 18 years. An encouraging 2018 now looks like an oasis in a desert of futility during that stretch. The Minors system desperately needs fewer lottery tickets and much more impactful talent to turn it around..
Colt Emerson, Travis Sykora, Caden Dana, Jacob Melton
2025-28 Minors Draft: 12 (3)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hurston Waldrep should help out the Montreal rotation sooner than later but there is not much further impact talent coming
Les Expos system has pretty much collapsed over the last couple of years, but GM Patrick Guttin has kept the club contending despite the lack of Minors talent. Montreal has won a pair of Owens/East pennants and reached postseason play four times over the last five years. Last year they made a spirited run all the way to the Finals before succumbing to Detroit. They are going to have to begin addressing the shortage of Minors impact talent quickly, however, or a day of reckoning will soon be at hand.
Cam Caminiti, Hurston Waldrep
