Live Writing Tutor Training

Live Writing Tutors work primarily in Zoom. When their Zoom rooms are empty, they respond to eQuestions and papers in the Writing Lab.  If you think you're in the wrong place, please go back to the main eTutor Training page and read more about each type of tutor.

To complete your training:

1. Download, read, and complete the exercises in the Live Writing Tutor Manual (below).

2. Read the Zoom Privacy Advisory posted below.

4. Take the Live Writing Tutor Quiz (see left sidebar).

5. Send the following items to sbergfeld@sbctc.edu in a single email:

A. Your response to the sample student essay. Please include the opening letter, embedded comments, (with the student's text) and next steps list in a SINGLE word document (.doc or .docx).

B. A sample of your own writing. Your writing sample should be a research-based paper of at least 5 pages that was completed as part of your college or grad school coursework. 

6. When all of these steps are complete, the WeTC director will contact you with more information.
