'Weston Cenotaph commemorates those who served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The cenotaph contains plaques to Private Richard LLoyd and Private Errol Bailey who were killed in action during the Vietnam War.

The name 'Maybury Peace Park' is in honour of the late Jeff Maybury who was a councillor on Cessnock City Council for 35 years. He was responsible, along with Jack King and others, for seeing to fruition the completion of Peace Park. Councillor Jeff Maybury was also responsible for the formation of the Weston Tidy Towns Committee. He passed away in 2015. See Weston Worthies
