Staff Epi Pen Training

Maine Law allows students to self carry Epi-Pens in School with a Maine Allergy Plan signed off by the parent/guardian and health care provider. It is very important for staff to know who their allergy students are. This information can be found in Infinite Campus. Your students with allergies and other medical issues you need to know about are "flagged" with a blue medical symbol or cadeceus. IT IS IMPERITIVE THAT STAFF KNOW WHO THE "FLAGGED" STUDENTS ARE. PLEASE SEE ME IF YOU CAN'T FIND THIS INFORMATION.

Please follow the steps below to prepare for an allergic emergency. The newer Epi-Pens have changed.

Administration of an Epi-Pen Always requires a call to EMS/911

1. Review the following information on allergens like food, insects, latex etc.
