The WOAL and the Wapak Waves are in need of Level I and Level II Swim Officials.
We are asking all of our swim parents to consider this important role in our swim program.
During a dual meet, there are usually two Level 2 Officials and two-four Level 1 officials on the pool deck.
Just like our timers, the officials should only be asked to volunteer to work half of a meet and they should not be expected to work at every meet.
This means that we should have at least 4 Level 2 officials on our team and 4-8 Level 1 officials.
To become a Level 1 official, a class must be taken.
To become a Level 2 official, you must have worked 12 sessions as a Level 1 official and take a class.
There is a cost associated with the class, but the Waves will reimburse you.
The Waves Board is kindly asking any parents who may be interested in becoming an official to reach out to us. There are usually classes in late April and May that are offered at the Wapakoneta YMCA. or Lima YMCA
