Important Information about Meets

There is so much information to share, and one of the best ways to learn is by asking a veteran family.

We will gladly show you the ropes.

This document explains how entries are made and the league rules for eligibility for the Championship Meet

This PDF shows the order of events.  Swimmers are asked to be behind the blocks and ready to swim at least one age group before they are set to swim.

For example, 8 and Under swimmers should make their way behind the blocks when the 13-14 year olds are swimming and be lined up in their lane with goggles on when the 15-18 year olds are swimming.

If a swimmer is not in their lane ready to swim when the official has them step up, they will miss their event. So please, pay attention to the meet events and have your swimmers ready behind the blocks. Once they are there, it is best if you leave the block area so the timers and the coaches have space to move about.

This link explains how to read an entries report. An entries report will list each swimmer and all of the events that they are swimming in a meet.  Sometimes, there are different versions of this report, but the concept is basically the same. These reports are usually posted behind the blocks or near our team area.
