Very likely, as a Huawei user, you have been confronted by an inactive (gray) option with message "disabled by administrator, encryption policy or storage credential" while attempting to turn off the screen-lock password. Get it here how to go around this frustrating situation!
Simple Procedure to Follow;
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Screen lock & passwords
3. Go to password
4. Type your screen-lock password then select Done (you'll see four 4 options, however, the one for removing password is gray i.e. deactivated)
5. Select Pattern (a message will appear, alerting you that fingerprint verification will be disabled), select continue, draw any pattern you wish, redraw it to confirm and finally you'll be asked to enter the backup PIN (enter any four numbers)
6. Lock your phone
7. Unlock your phone (you'll be prompted to draw your pattern), draw wrong pattern(s) five times (you'll be asked to wait 60 seconds before the interface is re-activated; meanwhile a backup PIN button will appear at the bottom left but it will also be inactive)
8. After the interface is active, enter your backup PIN and WAW! You are done! all screen-locks will be removed!
