You can enter values as far as 10 digits when mantissa part is all numerical value.
To enter the numerical values including index part, enter the numerical value of index part with [EXP] key after mantissa part.
Press [+/−] key after entering the numerical value to enter a negative value into the mantissa part. When you enter negative values into the index part, press [+/−] key after pressing [EXP] key, or after entering the numerical values of index part.
When you need to correct the register, press [ON CE/C] key and re-enter right register to resume the calculation.
When the register of index part is of more than two digits, the last two digits become effective, and the first digits ineffective. So correct the value with this function.
When you press the wrong key of four fundamental rules of arithmetics ( +, −, ×, ÷), just press the right key to correct it.
However, calculation priority can’t be corrected.
When your calculation exceeds the capacity of the range of value, an overflow error occurs. In this case, overflow error sign “E” appears on the display, and the calculation is suspended. When it occurs, use [ON CE/C] key to clear the calculation.
An overflow error occurs in the following cases:
When the result or the process of operation, and the content of memory exceed the operation range.
When you divide with divisor 0.
When the allowable input range is exceeded in all kinds of functional calculus and statistical calculus.
When operation level exceeds 6.
When you perform the four programs the total step number of which exceeds 128, or when jump command exceeds the program range.
Operation is performed with algebraic method system in this calculator. Operate the keys according to the written calculation expression in four fundamental rules of arithmetics (+, −, ×, ÷), power series (yX) calculation, and universal root (x√y) operation. Then, this calculator judges the priority of algebraic rule automatically and deals with the operation.
The priority of calculation is as follows:
Monovariant function (sin x, log x etc.)
Expression of open/close parentheses
yx, x√y
×, ÷
+, −
AND, NAND (effective in BIN, OCT, and HEX mode)
OR, NOR, XOR, XNOR, NOT (effective in BIN, OCT, and HEX mode)
Example:
5 ÷ 42 × 7 + 3 × 0.5cos60°
This calculator deals with operation according to the priority, and can store up to 6 lower priority levels and unfinished operation command. Storing of 7 or more will cause an error.
Example:
2 + 3 × (sin60° + 6) =
╰①╯ ╰②╯ ╰━③━╯level
