ROSARIES
Instruments of Peace
Members assemble our rosaries using:
nylon cord, wooden beads, plastic beads (round & faceted), plastic crucifixes, metal crucifixes
Finished rosaries feature:
--white cord strung with beads of one color (red, lt.blue, dk.blue, black, white, etc.) and a white crucifix;
--dyed cord strung with corresponding colored beads, with a blending crucifix.
Rosary assemblers are few in number, therefore, the availability of a particular color, etc., at any given time cannot be guaranteed.
Given plenty of lead time, we try to accommodate special requests, e.g., white rosaries for First Communion / Confirmation;
'mission rosaries' (each decade is a different color) for a special celebration.
Our volunteers receive no financial remuneration---only spiritual gifts; however, the materials come with a price tag---therefore some rosaries sell at a specific price. To help offset the costs we ask for a monetary donation, especially when a large quantity of rosaries is requested.
For new assemblers, we can schedule "how to" meetings.
