The Amateur Radio Transmitting Society is Louisville’s oldest ham radio club, founded in 1927.

General Club Meetings are scheduled on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7:30 PM, and are held at the Jeffersontown Fire Station 2 (formerly the McMahan Fire Department) 4318 Taylorsville Road in Louisville, KY 40220-1519. All are welcome to attend, you do not have to be a member to come to an ARTS meeting. Every regular meeting includes an interesting program.

Board of Directors meetings are scheduled on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 6:30PM at the Jeffersontown Fire Station 2 (formerly the McMahan Fire Department) 4318 Taylorsville Road in Louisville, KY 40220-1519. Anyone may attend the board meeting and all members are encouraged to give the board a hand in the direction of our club.

Attention: Repeater Damage Update – Please do not use our club repeater (147.180 Mhz).

Our club repeater has a damaged antenna, our repeater nets have moved temporarily to the 147.090 N9GTO repeater. The 147.090 repeater uses a + Positive Offset and a PL Tone of 151.4 hz. This repeater is also connected to CQ-Louisville on WIRES-X (Digital C4FM only), so that functionality will continue to be available on this repeater as well.

We are making plans to replace the antenna but this will take some time, so until further notice please use the 147.090 repeater. (Our thanks to Lou, N9GTO, so our nets may continue during this outage.)

There are several weekly ARTS Club nets we sponsor, 80 Meter Club, 2 Meter Retiree, 2 Meter Club and a 2 Meter SSB. The purpose of these nets is primarily for amateurs to get to know one another better and by providing a forum for the exchange of information. These nets are open to all amateurs; you DO NOT have to be a member to check in.
