Tourism

Tourism is our ace-card and we have become very complacent with our efforts to take advantage of our fortunate geography.

I think the city should be more involved in the tourism sector. Currently a third-party conducts the marketing of our tourism interests so it is very important to make sure that we are getting value for the money spent and also get accountability and transparency for our citizens regarding this money.

We need to modernise our approach. Cultural-tourism, which 25% of American tourists are now seeking, should be pursued in Niagara Falls.

Also, we need a major promotion campaign for bicycle tourism and Chinese tourism.
