Je travaille à la Tour du Valat depuis 2014 comme chargée de recherche responsable de l'axe écologie de la santé du centre au sein du département conservation des espèces. Since April 2014 I am working at the Tour du Valat as a researcher in charge of the health ecology research axis of the lab. I am part of the "Conservation of species and global changes" department.

De novembre 2012 à mars 2014 j'ai fait partie de l'unité MIVEGEC (IRD/CNRS/UM) à Montpellier en tant qu'ingénieur de recherche. J'y ai travaillé sur l'évolution du cancer au sein de la faune sauvage.

From November 2012 to March 2014 I have been part of the MIVEGEC research group (IRD/CNRS/UM) in Montpellier as a research engineer. I was working on cancer evolution in wildlife.

Education

2009-2012 PhD in health ecology: “Emerging infectious diseases in the Mediterranean wetlands in the context of global changes.”

Directors: Dr. M. Gauthier-Clerc (Tour du Valat), Dr. F. Thomas (CNRS)

Techniques: real-time RT-PCR, ELISA competition test, blood sampling (on birds), virological sampling (fecal, nasal and cloacal swabs), birds and mammals trapping, niche modelling.

2009 Master 2 Biodiversity Ecology Evolution: Montpellier II University, Final mark: 16/20 (Rank 2/16). Thesis: “Communication signals in a plant-ant symbiosis”

Director: Dr. R. Blatrix (CEFE-CNRS).

Techniques: Behavioural tests (during a 6 weeks fieldtrip in Cameroon), electro-antennography, leaf compounds extraction, GCMS analysis of the extracts.

2008 Master 1 Biodiversity Ecology Evolution: Montpellier II University, Final mark: 16.7/20 (Rank 1/25). Thesis: “Is the parasite Trypanosoma brucei gambiense able to modify the attractivity of its vertebrate host for its vector?”

Directors: Dr. F. Thomas (CNRS), Dr. T. Lefèvre (IRD).

Techniques: Experimental infections (of mice), parasitaemia monitoring through blood observation, behavioural tests.

· Participation in the Inserm / Allenvi / Aviesan working group in charge of establishing national antimicrobial resistance research prospects.

· Participation in the Globis-B workshop (Bari, Italy, 26-28 February 2018) aiming at defining variables for monitoring biotic interactions (parasitism, food chain etc.) on a global scale.

· Member of the Health and Biodiversity Working Group in charge of the monitoring of the biodiversity actions of the 3rd national health and environment plan (PNSE3).

· Member of the BIODIS international working group hosted by the CESAB (Center for Synthesis and Analysis of Biodiversity funded by the FRB) which gathers twice a year to share knowledge and produce multidisciplinary research studies on the interaction between biodiversity and health.

  • Fieldwork: Since 09/2010 participation to other teams fieldwork and experiments; bird ringing, bird dissection, water sampling, turtle and snake handling.
  • Science & Art project: In June 2017 creation with the support of the Citron jaune Theatre of adance performance with Yann Lheureux (choreographer) entitled “Sehr schädlich” questioning the concept of “Pests”. The duo has been played twice, once at the Tour du Valat and once in the Port-Saint-Louis Highschool (13). New shows are planned during fall 2017 in Marseille libraries.
