The port of Volos is the perfect place for a city walking tour! It is full of people strolling up and down (afternoon and evening), riding a bike or drinking coffee at the popular coffeeshops. So, why don't you begin your visit to Volos from the port?
You may start your walk from the train station and end up at the archeological museum or even to Goricha!
The most popular walk is from Argo to the church of Saints Constantine.
-Train station to the fishermen boats (water front) 5 min walk 400 meters.
-From the fishermen boats to Argo 8 min walk 650 m.
-From Argo to the University of Thessaly 6 min walk 500 m.
-From the University of Thessaly to the church of Saints Constantine 7 min walk 550 m.
-From the church of Saints Constantine to the Archaeological Museum 7 min walk 600 m.

- Achilleion, a cinema and theater in the port of Volos. The cinema "Achilles" was inaugurated in 1925 and housed the more cultural events of Volos for 65 years. Today it is a multiplex with two cinemas and entertainment venues.
- The University of Thessaly (my university!) Housed in the warehouses of tobacco industry Papastratou.
Saint Constantine's church
- The church of Saints Constantine and Helen was build on Aristotelis Zachos plans and was completed in 1935. Was inspired by early Christian standards mainly Hellenistic type. Apart from the significant artistic value, the construction of the temple by the sea was a pioneering technical work.
- Athanasakeion Archaeological Museum of Volos
- You can admire findings from the neolithic settlements of Sesklo and Dimini and the burial steles from Dimitrias
