Michael Faraday, an English Chemist and Physicist, discovered Benzene and was the first to liquify a “permanent” gas. More notably, however, he was the first to produce an electric current from a magnetic field, and invented the first electric generator. He created Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction,  which predicts how a magnetic field will interact with an electric circuit to produce an electromotive force, or EMF. This law is used in internal scanning technology, such as X-Ray, CT, and MRI scans.
