WELCOME TO VIKINGS ULTIMATE!The Geneva Ultimate Frisbee Club is one of the largest and most active Ultimate Frisbee Clubs in the Chicagoland Area. Vikings Ultimate had its beginning in 2004, when a group of Students at Geneva High School started the first Ultimate Frisbee Club. We played pickup games for the first several years, steadily increasing our numbers to a 50+ member club. In the winter of 2009, we founded our first Competitive Ultimate Team, competing in the Chicago Invite in 2010. From there a lasting legacy of Vikings Ultimate was born. We have been one of the top teams in Illinois since our first season. Our team is based on cultivating people of character to build a strong community of friends. Players learn the game of Ultimate and become better at it, but they also learn to become better people. Players learn how to play a game based on sportsmanship with respect, humility, and integrity.
PLAY ULTIMATE!
Vikings Ultimate provides several ways to play ultimate for our area youth. We sponsor a Fall Intramural High School League, a Spring Competitive High School Team, and a Summer Youth League for 6th-13th graders. We also host a Spring Middle School Team for our 6th - 8th graders that finishes with a Tournament where we play other area schools. Please click on the links above to find out more.
THE GAME OF ULTIMATE
The game of Ultimate Frisbee is a game based on sportsmanship. The Ultimate community is all about supporting each other and respecting each other. It is an extremely physical sport requiring a great deal of running, jumping, and agility. In Ultimate, teams of 7 battle it out on a field similar to a football field. Players throw the disc to each other hoping to advance the disc down the field and eventually into their endzone for a "point". It is an up-and-coming sport that has grown in popularity over the past few years. More than 5 million people play the game in America now! Join the club and play the newest sport!
