Summer

In the summer, we run an intramural league called the Summer League For Youth in the Fox Valley.  In this league, players are placed on teams and compete in a round-robin schedule on Wednesday evenings in June and July that seeds semi-final and final games.  Going to miss for vacation, party, etc.?  NO PROBLEM!  Summer League teams have more players to account for missing players due to frequent summer obligations.  The players on the winning team and the players on the best-spirited team are awarded prizes, and all players receive a team jersey and disc.  Email Coach Schoen for more details (jschoen@geneva304.org). 

What:              Learn the basics of Ultimate and have fun playing! 

When:             Wednesdays 6:30-8pm, June – July

Where:            Coultrap Fields (Corner of Lincoln and Ford in Geneva) 

Why:                Learn Throwing, Catching, Cutting, and Defending...

                         and because playing Ultimate is lots of FUN!

How:                Coach Schoen will assemble equitable teams; each player will receive jerseys

Cost:                $100 per player (covers Jersey and Disc that you keep plus awards)

OTHER SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES FOR ULTIMATE PLAYERS:  

YOUTH CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS (YCC)

In the summer, players can try out for the Chicago Youth Ultimate Club Team.  Players can try out in early June for either the U-20 Boys team, U-20 Girls team, or U-17 Boys team.  The team will practice all summer (early June through early August) twice per week (usually Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons), then head up to Minnesota for the biggest youth tournament in the nation, the Youth Club Championships (YCC), in early August.  Click on the link above for more information.  Email Coach Schoen for details (jschoen@geneva304.org).
