Vicksburg Theater - Too Many Detectives: High School Play

Sure, you think you've seen this type of murder mystery before. A cast of eccentric characters meet at a mansion, only to become suspects of a murder that a singular genius detective will eventually solve. But what happens when all the suspects are the detectives? Sherlock Holmes, Nancy Drew, Miss Marple, and Batman are just a few of the guests. Too Many Detectives at the Murder Mansion is a whodunnit that will leave you laughing and guessing right until the very end—and there are three different endings to choose from!

How to audition for CAST OR CREW:

STEP 1: Fill out the Audition Form on this page.

If only auditioning for crew (backstage roles), you can skip STEP 2! If auditioning for cast (onstage roles), continue to Step 2.

STEP 2: Attend an audition time (if auditioning for Cast) in the Vicksburg High School PAC.

Tuesday, September 22 3:30-5:30pm

Wednesday, September 23 3:30-5:30pm

At the audition you will practice an audition scene and perform it with scene partners.

STEP 3: Wait for the Company List to be posted by Sunday, September 27 at 5pm. It will be posted on vicksburgtheater.org and our Facebook and Instagram pages (@vicksburgtheater).

If you are on the list, come to the First Rehearsal on Tuesday, September 29 from 3:30-5:30pm, followed by the Parent/Company Meeting at 5:30pm in the Vicksburg High School Performing Arts Center (PAC). NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE A PARENT/GUARDIAN SIGN PAPERWORK IN THE FIRST WEEK FO REHEARSALS.
