About

In March 2011 we organized a conference in Caux Switzerland on "Critical World Issues". Twelve illustrious people with varying backgrounds and origin, politicians, scientists, businessmen and women discussed issues of great concern. The results from the conference were published in a conference statement. The focus of the conference was, as the title already indicates, on major issues that are a burden and a thread to society. Key issues analysed were political, economical, environmental demographics, migration, NGO’s, corruption and integrity, conflict handling, narcotics and information technology.

Most issues we discussed four years ago are still high on the international agenda, but discussing and exchanging thoughts about critical issues will not be enough. We believe that focus should be on fundamental changes that will be needed to address the many threats and instabilities we are encountering.

We therefore would like to start this initiative towards "a viable world".
