Vedas are 'Apourusheyas'(not of human agency). These Vedas are tap roots to the cultural heritage of India.
The Vedas are fountain head of the culture of India which is light house to the entire world and the culture which is safegaurded for the Yugas. The origin of Vedas are not known. Vedas are divine revelations from the cosmic space.
When these Vedas have come into practice , who told to whom, how many years passed - for these questions there is only one answer - these are existing since the creation of this universe and will remain till the deluge of the world. They are said to be emerged from the visage of creator ie Brahma.
The Vedas are not only concerned with the Indian life but concerned to the entire humane race, moulding the lives of entire mankind. The chanting of Vedas are said to bring peace, prosperity and well-being of the entire world. Listening to Veda recital continously for 2 hours or more creates a holy and spiritual atmosphere, vibrating the entire house and keep the mind cool and peaceful - thus elevating the mental status of the house holders leading to happiness and bliss. This also creates a divine feeling. Some people opine that mental tension, mental and bodily complaints also vanish by listening to Vedic chanting.

Vedas are associated with Lord Hayagreeva one the avatars or manifestations of Supreme Lord Shri Vishnu.

The Lord of this entire universe Sriman Nayarana's Dasavatharas are well known incarnations that are being worshipped universally. The legend goes that two demons Madhu and Kaitabha who stole the Vedas and hid themselves in the Ocean, to escape from being seen. Lord Narayana taking the form of Hayagreeva killed them and restored the Vedas to Lord Brahma. To commemorate the restoration of the Vedas all the Aasthikas pray the Lord Hayagreeva with the following hymn
" Gnanananda Mayamdevam, Nirmalasphatikakruthim,
Adhaaram Sarva Vidyanaam Hayagreeva Muspasmahay."
The archamurthy of Lord Lakshmi Hayagreeva worshipped by Goddess Saraswati is unto day worshipped in Brahmatanatra Swatantra Parakala Mutt at Mysore. History tells that this idol of Lord Lakshmi Hayagreeva was gifted by Goddess Saraswathi to Sri Bhagavad Ramanuja and bestowed him with the title "Sri Bhashyakara", Srimad Ramanuja worshiped this idol during his life time and later it was worshipped by Sri Nigamantha Maha Desikar who is well known as "Ghantavatara" of Lord Sreenivasa. The same was later handed over to Sri Brahma Tantra Swamy.The tradition continued for centuries and idol was worshipped by leaders of Parakala Mutt like Sri Krishna Brahma Tantra Swamy, Sri Vageesa Brahama Tantra Swamy and Srimanth Abhinava Ranganatha Brahma Tantra Swamy

Ghanapati K Panduranga Charya:
To promote Vedic studies, Sri Abhinava Rangatha Swamy whom we mentioned above brought some 30 students from Telangana region and arranged for their study of Vedas in the Veda Sanskrit College, Mysore which was then a well-known centre of learning of Veda, Mimamsa, Logic, Grammer and Upanishads. The pioneers for the Vedic studies were Salakshana Ghanapthi Kodicherla Panduranga Charya, his elder brother (late) Sri Kodicherla Venkatacharya and Sri Thirumala Gruddanti Edire Gopala Charya and some others.
