The centre began with teaching Vedas freely to some 4-5 students. After some years it grew with around 20-30 students studying Vedas. This institue also has a library which contains rare books related to Vedic studies, Upanishads, Ramanyana, Mahabharata and various books on rituals. These books are in Telugu, Tamil Grandhalipi, Kannada and English.
Another important activity of this institute is to honour and recognize the Vedic Scholars for their knowledge and service rendered to Vedas . This is conducted every year on the day of Thirunakshatram of H.H Sri Abhinava Ranganatha Swamy which falls of "Punarvasu" every year.
A unique programme also under taken by this centre is Veda recital by VSS(Veda Samrakshana Samithi) students at host residence, at institute, temple or any organization.
