Update Sept 22 - We are very excited to present this week's video. The pups are now at the stage that a photo does not suffice. Up until now, these pups were only eating and sleeping and scooting around on their bellies. Their eyes opened just a little bit ago and they've been getting a lot better at walking. Photos were fine because that was just a perfect way to capture the pups for that moment. Now, a video is best since we are starting to see their personalities over the last few days and it's so much fun to watch them now. They are still a little unsteady on their feet but are quickly getting the hang of things. They haven't quite figured out how to play with toys, but they do like to play with each other. They definitely enjoy the comfort of having their momma around, so this video has them a little apprehensive since we had her in the other room so she wouldn't hog your attention and bump the camera. It's always interesting to see which pups are first to get comfortable and explore without her around and which pups spend the most amount of time looking for her. This will soon pass in the next couple of days. We are starting to wean the pups (very gradually) and are introducing their new foods. This will allow the pups a chance to realize that momma is not the only source of tasty things and that their people can produce some great flavorful foods too. They will start to spend more time looking around and playing and more time experiencing this big new world. We are hoping for some moderately warm weather to let them have some fun outside before the cold really sets in. Regardless, we've built a very large playpen and it now occupies most of the space of our 3 car garage. This will allow this large amount of pups to all have some much needed exercise and mental development beyond what we could otherwise do in our home during inclement weather. So we're pretty excited about that. Meadow's pups are all growing well and are healthy. They all have great potential. A couple of her pups have inherited her smaller frame. You'll notice that in the video and more so in the subsequent videos too. They don't lack in personality though. They don't let any of their litter mates push them around and still show strong energy and character.

09/ 24 Update - We made another video of the pups today. Can't you tell that we just have an amazing time watching these little ones grow and learn.

Update 09/28 - We're just uploading the pick video for the males and females. Look for those to post sometime later tonight. Our rural internet speeds are not fabulous and these videos are quite long compared to the others. We give our observations about each pup and how they compare with some of their personality traits. In general, we look for 3 categories of pups and they are: 1- the more confident or dominant ones, 2- the middle range ones, 3- the more timid or submissive ones. At this age, those personalities are still developing, but for the most part, we can see which pups are emerging into those categories. There are benefits for all 3 types and the primary thing to consider, regardless of what pup you get, is that each pup needs to be carefully trained and socialized so that they can become all that this breed has to offer. We decided to do one video with all the males and one video with all the females from the 3 litters combined so that everyone could see each one compared to all the others at the same time. We feel like the videos turned out really well. These pups have great dispositions and are all growing well as expected. In the video, you'll notice the 2 sides of the Vizsla breed. There's the energetic side and the cuddly/sleepy side. At this age, they spend a lot of time sleeping. They are growing so fast that they need all this rest. They are doing really well with transitioning to their regular foods. In many of the photos, you'll notice some of the food stuck to their side of their noses. We try to wipe that off, but they eat so often that their noses just stay that way for the most part and we don't want to "scrub" the pups (just for the sake of a photo) and make them made at people at this age. They are all so adorable!

Update 10/05 These pups are growing fast and are wonderful Vizslas. As you can see from today's video, they are beginning to become the "active" side of this special breed and we love it. We also decided we should make a little video of just the available males and females of the 3 litters. So there's also an all boy video and all girl video posted below. Oops. We just noticed that Meadow's boy Blue Chevron was absent from the all boy video.

10/12 Update - If you were wondering about these pups being sleepy in some of the previous videos, then wonder no more. Ha ha. These really are pure Vizsla pups and we have evidence. Tonight's videos show how much fun they can have! We also put in a little clip at the end of the video showing the results of some "Recall conditioning" that we have been doing. We basically whistle every time we feed the pups, so they have begun to "Come" when called with a whistle and they are expecting something tasty! We encourage families to continue this so that they can strengthen their Recall command as the puppy grows.

10/26 Update - This has been a very busy last few weeks with taking care of the pups and seeing them off with their forever families. The pups are at a very fun stage. We can tell they are eager and ready to learn. They are growing just as planned and every pup is passing their final health checks ( at the Vet ) with flying colors. We decided to simplify the video process a little and make 2 videos. One video is with all the pups who will be going home soon and the other video is of all the pups that are still available. It's so fun to see them play together and have lots of fun with each other regardless of which litter they are from. They are all doing great.

Nov 11 2019 Update. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who serve for freedom on this special day. The pups are doing great and are starting to grow out of the "pudgy puppy" phase. These pups are getting their legs!!! Some are still pretty plump while others are really thinning down. It's a pretty good indicator of their future body type.

Nov 13 Update - We've had several people asking about if their pups can start eating raw chicken with bones. The answer is yes, they can eat it as long as you feed them the larger bone sections of meat, like chicken leg quarters. Here's a little video showing these pups eating their lunch. They get a full chicken leg quarter each, so there's plenty to go around. Generally speaking they "share" their portion with each other because two pups can team up on the quarter and help each other out in the process. They can eat the whole thing. It does take them a while at this age, but it's really good while they are teething.
