7 week old puppies

There are many philosophies about when a puppy is at the optimal stage of development to leave it's mother and litter mates.

If you feel strongly about a puppy being a little older before you pick it up, let us know and we'll work something out.

Beginning around 6 weeks old, puppies are able to start emotionally bonding. We feel like 7 weeks is an acceptable time frame for them to start bonding to their forever families, so long as the family is prepared for the puppy and ready to handle its various needs of training and socialization.

So far, our experience has been very positive with puppies being placed in forever families starting at 7 weeks.

We do not let puppies go home before 7 weeks.

There is a "guide dog" training program for the blind that places it's puppies with their trainers at 7 weeks. For several reasons, these particular puppies have a graduation rate that is 15% higher. They have handled hundreds of puppies in their program. We feel that if 7 weeks were too young, their success rates would be different.
