Fundraising

Valley Voices supports all 13 Southwoods and Valley choirs and ensembles through fundraising, such as 50/50 raffles at football game, concessions, Butter Braids, and more.  New ideas are always welcome! 

Money raised from fundraisers are divided in the following ways:

Vocal Music Department: Sales proceeds from music department fundraisers (such as chocolates) go directly to the vocal music departments to assist with purchases not paid by the school district, such as music and other expenses as determined by the directors.  

Valley Voices:  As the vocal music parent booster club, Valley Voices uses proceeds from Butter Braids, 50/50 Raffle Tickets, and other fundraisers to benefit all 13 choirs by raising money for items such as robes, contest entry fees, concert program printing, awards, vocal music banquet, transportation, clinicians, etc.

Show Choirs:  Show choir students/families are asked to volunteer at fundraising events, sell merchandise to benefit Valley Voices, or contribute a fundraising fee since show choir expenses are a significant part of the Valley Voices budget.

** Volunteering/selling merchandise for these fundraisers counts towards the time commitment asked of show choir students/families.
