Starship Battles/WoTC Scale Custom Ships

The scale of the ships were planned to match the scale of the original Wizards of the Coast Starship Battles game set. That is the scale varies with the size of the "real" vessel with the largest ships being approximately 1 to 100,00 and the class 4 ships being approximately 1 to 500. This allows larger ships to be larger miniatures but keeps the scaled size close enough for all classes of ships to be represented in a reasonably similar miniature size (otherwise the Super Star Destroyer miniature would be 2800 time larger than the TIE Fighter miniature). Therefore the scale of class 2 ships ranges from 1 to 10,000 to around 1 to 6,000 and class 3 ships scale ranges from around 1 to 5,000 to about 1 to 1,500.
