January 14, 2017 Layton City Surf and Swim Layton Surf'n Swim, 465 Wasatch Dr., Layton, UT 84041.Saturday night from 7:00 to 9:45 PM. We will ask for a $5.00 / person donation to help cover the cost of the pool and Non-members will need to pay an additional $5 and sign an ACA Waiver ***They have asked that everyone rinse and clean their boats before bringing them to the pool. It is also important that we DO NOT park on the grass, especially when it is wet. If parking is a problem, park outside the gate and carry your boats up the drive. Should be a great time for everyone to stay connected over the winter and practice our skills.***

April 28, 2017 Green River Daily - Campsite Swasey's This is the NOOBIE trip, or dusting off the cob-webs from the winter. A great way to start off the season, and getting people used to big water. Camping will be at Swasey's campsite from Friday night 4-28 to Sunday 4-30.Cost is $5 per-person per night for camping and Non-members an additional $10 event fee that will include their ACA wavier. May 12, 2017 Moab Daily - Camping at Hittle Bottom The Moab Daily is a very scenic 13-mile stretch of the Colorado River that parallels Highway 28 from the put-in at Hittle Bottom to the take-out at Takeout Beach http://www.blm.gov/style/medialib/blm/ut/moab_fo/maps/0.Par.30889.File.dat/MoabDailyMap.pdf. The river is generally wide and mellow, with six named rapids of Class 2-3 difficulty. The Club has reserved a group campsite at Hittle Bottom put in. We will put in Saturday morning at 11 AM at the Hittle Bottom boat launch. GPS on Google Maps: 38.759199, -109.324020.. June 10, 2017 Swiftwater Rescue course Brought to you by the UWC and Rendezvous River Sports Space is limited. Only open to current UWC members until February 21st. Open to anyone between February 22nd and April 2nd. Dates: Saturday June 10th & Sunday June 11th Place: Hoback River, WY Cost: $250.00 ; $100 deposit needed to reserve a spot & remaining balance due before April 2nd. Payments can be accepted by cash, check, and credit card Camping: Hoback Campground (if available, Camping fees not included in cost). Rental discount includes: boats, paddles, spray skirts, wetsuits, dry suits etc. *Rendezvous also will be offering 10% off any rescue equipment to class participants. June 22, 2017 Hoback, Greys, Granite Creek - Campsite Kozy Campground  June 22, 23, 24, & 25 *****Our Hoback River trip is coming up in a few weeks. We were just up there last weekend and the run off and water levels are high than normal. With this in mind, This trip will be limited to SOLID Class III+ boaters with a Solid roll. This is not a trip for Newbies or novice paddlers. The water is moving fast with fewer eddies. Swims could be long and cold. You will need to be dressed for COLD water. Dry suits, Dry Tops & bottoms. Air Bags, a throw rope, and a whistle are must have items! This is not meant to scare you off, but to make you aware of the conditions. They have had a big snow pack this year making the rivers more challenging. If you have any questions please contact us. uwc-leadership@googlegroups.com**** we will be boating the Hoback River (Class III) as well as a couple other runs. The possibilities for other runs include Granite Creek (Class III+), Upper Greys (Class III+), Headwaters of the Green (Class III), and the Gros Ventre River (Class IV). Which sections we run will depend on water levels and who shows up. We plan on camping at the Kozy Campground about 1 mi upstream along the Hoback River from the confluence with Granite Creek. July 7, 2017 Sevier River - Castle Rock Campground July 7,8, 9 is a trip down to the Sevier, a fun little class III run (Marysvale Run) near Big Rock Candy Mountain and camping at Castlerock near Fremont Indian State Park. We have a couple of reservation depending on how many show up. This is a fun and fast little class III run on the Sevier River following US-89. The run is about 5.5 miles long, fast moving and relatively shallow with a couple of tricky drops and a tumultuous end right above the take out. The mountains and terraine are scenic. Water reading skills. July 20, 2017 Payette Rivers - Hot Springs Campground 7-20 to 7-24 The Payette River trip is one of our most popular do to the variety of runs available and the scenic beauty of the area. We will be at the Hot Springs Campground Group site located on Hwy #17 which is Banks Lowman Road just past Garden Valley. Camp site is reserved starting Thur. 7/20 thru Mon. 7/24 leaving on Monday. We will be asking for $5 per person / per night for camping. If you are not a member, you are welcome to join us but we do ask that you sign a ACA waiver and pay the $10 event fee. We will be paddling as a group Fri., Sat. and Sunday morning. We will be running the "Main", Cabarton, and Swirly Canyons. Other options may include the Canyon, and the lower South Fork. August 10, 2017 Alpine Canyon, Snake River - Campground: Alpine North Loop  We have Alpine North loop campsite reserved for Thursday 8/10 thru Saturday 8/12 departing Sunday. Paddling Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning. We will be at Alpine North Loop Campground, group site. When you leave Alpine and cross the bridge, instead of turning right and going up the canyon, go straight for about 1 mile. Alpine campground is on the left. Drive time from SLC is between 3 1/2 to 4 hours. We will have a quick meeting Friday and Saturday morning at 9:00 AM before we head up the river. Depending on the numbers, we will be splitting into groups with different launch times and locations. If you are arriving later than 9 AM please let us know so we can make arrangement for you. We do have phone reception at the campground. We plan to run the river on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, giving the time we may do several trips down on the same day. This is a Class II - III River. August 31, 2017 American River, CA You all wanted a new run for the Club well this year, we are proud to announce the American River. This event is still in the works, and will be an RSVP event only. Limited space is available. More details will be coming shortly. Coordinator: David Pittenger 
September 15, 2017 Green River Daily - Campsite Swasey's This is our last trip of the year. If you have never floated a river or know someone that would like to try it out, this would be a great time to do it. You will need to bring your own gear for both floating and camping. Helmet, PFD, Float bags, etc. We will be camping Fri and Sat nights. Swasey's campsite is on the river 8 miles north of Green River Utah on Hastings Rd.(across from B.King on hill). Toilets but NO water. We will run the river Sat at 10:00 if you are diving down that morning. Also Sun. This section is class II-lll depenting on flow and is great f for beginners. Check our Face Book page events for more details. Also if camp ground is FULL we will post where we are staying by Friday Evening, so check our Face book page for updates. September 23, 2017 Weber River Clean-up Annual service project We will be cleaning up a heavily used section of the Weber River between Henifer and tagert. We plan to meet at the put-in parking lot at 10:00. When that area is cleaned up, we will float the river and collect garbage and other debris. We could use your help. This has always been a Fun day.
