This page will provide links to websites that you may find useful or interesting for this trip:
Motorcycleroads.com offers a comprehensive description of roads throughout Utah, Arizona, and other locations in the United States. (This website includes some videos that I made from our 2012 Colorado trip!)
bestbikingroads.com had a lot of roads listed for Utah! We can't possibly hit them all but we sure can try!
You don't have to be a Sunday driver to enjoy the Utah Motorcycle Routes
If you have questions concerning motorcycle laws in Utah or Arizona you can check them here.
Since we will be visiting a lot of National Parks and Monuments you may want to consider getting an annual pass for $80 (which will cover two people if riding on the same bike or in the same group if you're both registered under the same pass) or if you're over age 62 get the Senior Pass for $10. The Senior Pass is a lifetime pass which also allows free admission to the rider on the motorcycle!
Since we will be doing a combination of motorcycle riding and hiking you may want to consider wearing a pair of boots that are suitable for both.
Riding a motorcycle and hiking in southern Utah and northern Arizona may lead you to become dehydrated. You may want to consider purchasing a Camelbak or something to allow you to carry water with you while riding or hiking.
Hiking tips:
GPS files (compatible with newer Garmin GPS units) for all routes will be available (which include waypoints for interesting places and lookouts we may wish to stop at). When completed, the files will be shown at the bottom of this page and available for download:
