2019 Track & Field Grand Prix

USATF OHIO ASSOCIATION TRACK & FIELD GRAND PRIX

The Ohio Association will be conducting a Track & Field Grand Prix in 2019.

The following meets make up the grand prix series:

May 19th Columbus Track & Field Classic, Pickerington North HS, Pickerington, Ohio

Youth, Open and Masters Grand Prix

June 8th Greater Than Track Club Invitational, Pickerington North HS, Pickerington, Ohio

Youth, Open and Masters Grand Prix

June 15th Midwest Classic, Whitehall HS, Columbus,Ohio

Youth, Open and Master Grant Prix

June 22-23 Ohio Association JO Championships, Cedarville University, Cedarville, Ohio

Youth only Grand Prix

July 13th Queen City Classic, Saint Xavier HS, Cincinnati, Ohio

Youth, Open and Masters Grand Prix


Grand Prix Awards:

Youth and Open and Master athletes can earn points in each event they compete in at each meet in the Grand Prix series. Prize winners will be athletes who accumulate the most points in the Grand Prix meets identified above. Please note that some Grand Prix meets will score only Youth athletes, some will score only Open and Masters athletes, and some will score Youth and Open and Masters athletes.

There are two Youth age divisions instead of the six age divisions used in competition.

Awards will be given to the top three male and top three female point scorers in the 12 and under age division and the top three male and top three female point scorers in the 13 - 18 age division.

The top three male and female Open and the top three male and female Masters point scorers will receive awards.

Additionally the winning (top score only) male and female Masters point scorers will also be eligible for travel expense reimbursement (up to $ 500.00 each) for expenses incurred for participating in the USA Track & Field Masters National Track & Field Championships.

All awards (including Masters travel reimbursement) will be given out at the Ohio Association semi annual members meeting on September 22, 2019.

Grand Prix Scoring:

Only athletes who are 2019 USA Track & Field Ohio Association members prior to the meet will be scored in each respective meet.

The scoring system will be the 10-point track and field scoring system providing 10 points for first place to 1 point for eighth place (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1).

Scoring will be based on actual place. Non-Ohio Association members and Ohio Association athletes without a 2019 membership will not be displaced but will not earn points.
