SPCA stands for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. SPCA is a non-profit organization that provides shelter and an array of services for animals (primarily cats and dogs) that have been subject to abuse or neglect. They also provide education and training to the public about the proper care and treatment of animals.

Visit the SPCA website below for more details about the organization.

J-WIT will be volunteering for Mobile SPCA on October 27th (11:00 a.m - 2:00 p.m.). The organization requires that each volunteer submit an application prior to volunteering. Forms are available on the SPCA website, and forms will also be available the first meeting. If you do decide to fill out the form online, please let an officer know so that we can get an accurate count of how many volunteers will be available.

More details will be provided about the event during the first meeting on September 10th.
