Urban Flood Model for Bangalore City

Advisory Committee

The Urban Flood project aims to build on and scale up our earlier work on developing a flood model for the Bangalore city, by simulating the hydrologic and hydraulic behaviour of floods over the urban environment using high-resolution terrain data. The simulated results will be disseminated to stakeholders to prepare and mitigate the flood impacts over the Bangalore city.

In this connection, an Advisory Committee is formulated for the project to gain knowledge from their vast experience and expertise related to the urban water issues in general and issues related to urban floods in particular.

The Chairman of the Advisory Committee is , Sri S V Ranganath, Former Chief Secretary, GOK, and other members are
