Here's the sort of thing I'm known for: Organizing a grass-roots internal user group to evangelize a technology I believe in - in this case, Splunk.
I used fun, humor and cake to attract the curious and then roped them in with brief presentations by their own peers. By the time I had run 3 or 4 of these, Splunk use was rampant and teams were getting serious value from it.
