2026

• Ultrafast exciton–spin dynamics in NiPS₃ accepted in Physical Review B
  Our recent work on NiPS₃ investigates ultrafast exciton-related dynamics and their coupling to magnetic order in a layered antiferromagnet. The study has been accepted in Physical Review B [S. Sahu et al., accepted in Phys. Rev. B (2026); arXiv:2509.04900].

2025

• Magnetic dimensional crossover in CrSiTe₃ published in Physical Review B
  Our work on the layered van der Waals ferromagnet CrSiTe₃ investigates magnetic dimensional crossover using photoexcited carriers and picosecond acoustic strain pulses in time-domain pump–probe spectroscopy [Anjankumar NM et al., Phys. Rev. B 111, L140414 (2025)]. The work combines experiments carried out at IISER Kolkata and TIFR Mumbai, crystal growth by Prof. Thirupathaiah Setti’s group at SNBNCBS Kolkata, and phenomenological theory from Prof. Siddhartha Lal’s group at IISER Kolkata.

• Ultrafast carrier and acoustic phonon dynamics in BiSbTe₁.₅Se₁.₅ thin films
  We report ultrafast carrier relaxation and coherent acoustic phonon dynamics in BiSbTe₁.₅Se₁.₅ thin films using pump–probe spectroscopy, revealing the influence of thickness and temperature on acoustic phonon dynamics relevant to thermoelectric and topological materials research [A. Chauhan et al., Phys. Rev. B 112, 054311 (2025)].

2024

• THz spectroscopy of MnBi₂Te₄ and Sb-doped MnBi₂Te₄
  In collaboration with Prof. Chiranjib Mitra’s group, we investigated magnetic-order-influenced phonon and electron dynamics in MnBi₂Te₄ and Sb-doped MnBi₂Te₄ using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy [S. Mukherjee et al., Phys. Rev. B 110, 195401 (2024)].

• Anjankumar NM receives Humboldt recognition
  Congratulations to Anjankumar NM on receiving the prestigious Humboldt recognition/award (21 November 2025).

• Best poster awards at Ultrafast Sciences 2025
  Anupama Chauhan and Poulami Ghosh received Best Poster Awards at Ultrafast Sciences 2025 (UFS 2025), the 12th DAE meeting held at IIT Hyderabad during 13–15 November 2025. This was Anupama Chauhan’s fifth best poster award.
