Why German?
German is Easy for English Speakers! German and English are both Germanic languages – you already know many German words from speaking English! It is a logical language with few exceptions… once you learn a rule, it applies in most cases!
German is Fun! German classes at UHS are filled with lots of different activities. There is something for everyone – group activities, partner interviews, creative work with language through art, food tastings, self-expression through writing, songs, videos, game days, reading stories, reading and writing poetry, reading plays and theater performance, filling out crossword puzzles – we do it all!
Are you interested in science, business, engineering, publishing, computer science…? then German is the language for you. German is the second most used language in science (after English) with many internship and job opportunities.
