Actively in research since 1972 in Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry (Over 34 years; Including Doctoral & Post-doctoral research). A total of 35 students have been awarded Ph.D. Degrees and 10 students are currently doing their Ph.D. programme under my supervision.

Administrative experience

Head of the Department of Chemistry since 1996 (for 7.3 years) and Director of the Academic Staff College (Additional charge) during 1997-98 (for 7 months).

(b) “Methods for the Analysis of Various Pharmaceuticals”, Two years (1991-93) for Rs. 50,000/- sponsored by STEC, Government of Kerala

(c) “Studies on Some Lanthanide Metal Complexes”, Two years (1991-93) for Rs. 50,000/- sponsored by STEC, Government of Kerala. This project was adjudged the best SRF project sponsored by the STEC in Physical Sciences during 1994 and I was awarded the Dr. S. Vasudev Memorial Award 1995 for the work.
