I am based in Sikkim, a small state in North East India since 2003. Sikkim (see Wiki) joined the Indian Union on 16th May 1975 to become the 22nd state. The best part about the place are its people. Having travelled the length and breadth of this country, I can confidently say that these people are very high on the honesty ladder. Most hill folks are simple and hard working and honest, but the people here has been an epitome of goodness as far as I can say.
Living in a place like Sikkim with all its beautiful valleys, meadows, fast flowing rivers, rivulets and streams dropping steeply from high mountains. Snow capped peaks, dense forests has certainly extended my lifespan. Till about 2010, the state was underpopulated, but a recent change in the government policy, allowing pharmaceutical companies to have factories in Sikkim has resulted in large number of people settling in.
